I always recommend people to try the west coast out, BC has lots to offer. If you've got the time and money, a cross-Canada trip can be one of the funnest alive. Rocking Trans Canada Highway number 1 can be a slow go, but the chances between provinces are so wild to see. Lots to see and do.

I live in the Eastern Provinces and there is a lot of stuff worth seeing. The Hopewell rocks have the highest tides in the world, when the tide goes out you can walk on the ocean floor, Cape Enrage is beautiful, tubing is awesome. Halifax is a beautiful city. PEI is famous for it's beautiful red sand beaches.

I live in BC, BC has great parks for hiking, climbing, skiing, hunting, fishing, camping (depending on the season). Vancouver is okay, some cool places but most urbanites are not real Canadians (they take pride in belonging to a foreign culture), so don't go to Vancouver looking for Canadian culture (unless you seek native culture). Whistler can be bussed easily from Vancouver, staying there is very expensive! But euros go far, but if you can't afford that, Vancouver has quick access to 3 skiing mountains, Cypress is the best in terms of vastness and runs, Grouse is best for tricks, Seymour is cheapest and the least crowded. White rock may be worth visiting, it is a coastal town similar to the OC. Montreal is the party city, with apparently the best looking girls in N. America, European culture is very apparent there. Quebec city is absolutely wonderful with much culture and many events. Edmonton and Calgary are pretty much boring American cities but with a super huge mall. Eastern provinces are nice, but not worth spending lots of money as they are simply Atlantic areas with a few people.

I went to Vancouver and Whistler and thought it was the most amazing place ever! It was so pretty and felt very safe.
